Project Overview
Western Technical College’s Coleman Center Phase I is a LEED Silver comprehensive remodeling that includes:
• Demolition of a 25,000 SF addition from the 1970’s
• 7,500 SF of New Entry Additions at the Northwest and Southeast corners
• 90,000 SF of Remodeling at the 2 Story 1923 Building and the 3 Story 1938 Building
• New faculty office areas for 80 adjunct and full time instructors
• New distance learning areas
• General classroom upgrades and updates for the General Studies programs
• Reworking of the Graphics and Visual Communications programs
• New Aluminum Windows to include glazing that had previously been infilled due to energy concerns
• New roofing for the entire complex
• Brick tuckpointing at all exterior walls on both the 1923 and 1938 buildings
• Stone sill and parapet reworking at both the 1923 and 1938 buildings
